Svt 3 Poem by Deep Dhesi

Svt 3

Your love is a pair of docks
One runs into the ocean the other runs out
You invite love in with a silent siren scream
But run just as fast, the closer it seems
You want to feel safe and secure
But can only feel safe swimming away from shore
Hands reach out for you
To give warmth and care
But you'd rather hold on to these anchors and despair
Your drowning in the shallow
Cause you fear the depths
And the ancient pain that's been left

Your love is a pair of docks
You run back and forth on
You're like a ghost
Trying to learn to live
Guilt and shame
Keep you chained
With the keys around your neck
Surrounded by idiots
You resign your intelligence
You know what you want
But choose the other path
pain is what you know
And pain you'll never let go
Because your love is a paradox
