Swallowed Poem by Minnie Gehrig

Swallowed

Your love is a shadow,
casting waves of darkness
behind the noonday sun,

an ocean of gravity
that pulls and pushes
from the veary center of my being,

pulsing its electromagnetic life
into the cheeks
flushing them like a young girls,

Blue eyes, I am drowning in,
come alive in my thoughts of you,
like swords piercing all the lies,
they lie dead on my tounge now,
they are bitter as lemons,

So strong is this feeling for you,
i try to run but my legs are frozen,
My bones are ice,
my eyes cast downward,
see only the shadow,
bigger than the girl, being swallowed.
