Swamp Poem by Geetanjali Lachke

Swamp

Little did her eyes resemble the ocean, they more closely resembled the swamp.

You could never guess what would appear out of their depths, snakes, crocodiles or malignant mesmerizing reptiles.

Yet they had a mystery to them, not of the mermaids but of the monsters that dwell in the dark.
