Sweet Auntie Elaine Poem by Molly Densmore

Sweet Auntie Elaine

My sweet Auntie Elaine, God has now taken you
He called His angels down with a deaths whisper
Met you with His loving arms wide open
Swept you off your feet to be heaven's newest traveler.

Master of grace and His heart of love and mercy
Through the pearly gates jeweled with glorious beauty
Angels placed you in the lap of Our Lord Jesus Christ
No worries, no ills or pains... in God's Kingdom for eternity.

With no reservation to His calling, you gladly answered
So for the last you closed your beautiful eyes
An earthly flesh failing has now shut down
Washed with my love pouring and showering cries.

Your spiritual now body walks the streets of gold
More alive you'll never be afraid, sick or alone
You're with those, who had been called before your coming
And With our Lord Jesus Christ... you are finally home.

My whole life, holds special memories of you and love
God is now lavishing His love, welcoming His child...you
In His flock of many, rejoicing and praising God's name
Auntie Elaine..you stand out above, in the skies of heaven's hew.

We had years of laughs, for which we enjoyed and loved
Beautiful times God blessed us to have together
Now the time has come for you to be with Him
With His riches, blessings, and peace forever.

I cannot say goodbye, for I will see you again
Missing you is so painfully bitter sweet
Some day excitement and joy will reign in my heart
The day when I am called to kneel at Jesus's feet.

We will rejoice together with remembrance and love.
Eternally embraced with His Holiest and grace.
A reunion of such that cannot even be described
So wonderful it will be where God has made us a place.

So till then, sweet Auntie Elaine, my tears will fall.
For human I am and my heart filled with pain.
Grief overcomes, overwhelms and drowns me
Takes everything within and out of me that drains.

Still though I will stand tall and in prayer
God will give me comfort and will always console me
For you've never left my heart...and there is no goodbyes
But a 'See you then', when God calls me home free.
