Sweet Mystery Poem by Sarah Kimberley Blower-Hagan

Sweet Mystery

Rating: 5.0

There was a woman I once knew,
She came and went as the winds blew.
Behind her smile was a secret sorrow.
Here today but gone tomorrow.
I knew the risks but didn't care,
Though all the signs said beware!
As the night came and away went the sun,
I asked myself if it was done.
Who was this woman? Sweet mystery.
I wished only to see her free.
I gave her friendship, I gave her trust.
But in the end it turned to dust.
Do we only see our own projections?
A broken mirrors own reflection.
Are there wounds that never heal?
That we will always have to feel.
Is there love is it real?
Is there really a sacred seal?
These answers are a mystery
Humbled and blind I cannot see.
I think it's time to let her be.
I think it's time to set her free!
