Sweetest Song Poem by Ivan Chizurum Ezeigbo

Sweetest Song

Moving upon the greenless grass
Riding upon the blue waters
Floating upon the heavy clouds
Then I can hear the sweetest song

Love is mature yet childish
Love is like a heart to fish
Love is docile yet crazy
Love can make your mind dozy
Love can find yet can’t fathom
Love is like an abstract form
Love is bitter yet so sweet
Love can glow like candy teeth
Love is health yet it’s fever
Love can give a whole life’s shiver
Love is silver yet it’s wood
Love makes you crave for its food
Love is dangerous yet it’s good
Love can leave you in hopeless mood
Love is careful yet so risky
Love is more blind than anything misty
Love is real, yet a mirage
Love is like an ownership badge
Love is lotion, sometimes rough
Love can make you metamorph
Love is solo, but it needs two
Love goes right if two can do
Love is cold, yet so hot
Love makes you exceed boiling point
Love is spontaneous but needs force
Love can alter any human’s pulse
Love is valor, love is weak
Love can be fragile like a twig
Love is square, biased like a ball
Love is a poem of the evening fall
Love is everywhere, yet so rare
Love does not need a pilot fare
Love is daily, but can’t all film
Love is like a seasonal dream

Then I joined in the most sweet song
As the tides raise their thunderous voice
Then my lover solos by my side

Love is mature, yet childish
Love is like a heart to fish
