Sweetwater, Oklahoma Poem by Marilyn Lott

Sweetwater, Oklahoma

Rating: 5.0

Have you ever been to Sweetwater?
A little town that got its name
Because the water was much better
This brought it special fame

Windmills were the machines
That brought the sweet water forth
Currie was the brand which
Was dependable for a water source

It’s a wonderful town, folks
In which to raise a family too
Outdoor country living
An exceptional place for you

Sure it isn’t very large
A school, post office and store
A garage and three churches
But do you really need much more?

It’s a place you’d be very happy
To settle in and stay
A quaint little rural town
Perhaps you’ll live there one day!
