Swept Under Poem by Randy McClave

Swept Under

She stabbed me in the back
She gave me a smack,
Then from me she robbed and stole
Redemption, and love wasn't her goal.
She broke many promises as well
My belongings she gave away or did sale,
But, all of her belongings I did return
For them she did earnestly yearn.
About me she told many lies
Which brought about many whispers and sighs,
But, people did some prying
And of course they knew that she was lying.
I was told by friends to spit in her eye
And to do my best to make her cry,
And then to do want she did unto me
They say it would make me cheerful and happy.
She cheated and of course she had lied
From all truths she always did hide,
She always blamed her problems always on another
Even her ex's and her own sister and brother.
I did no wrong unto her
Of course, that fact God can concur,
So, I still keep her in my prayers
Where I keep all of my worries and cares.
I was told to ruin her reputation and name
Because of her hurt and lies that action I could blame,
But, God told me to sweep the hate she created under a rug
Now, I just want to give her a hug.
