His face was on front pages of all dailies
The latest receiver of the Nobel Prize
The holy grail of academics
The face smiling defiantly
below an eloquent headline
They spoke of him enthusiastically
As if they all knew him well
One said he born a stammerer
Yet I could not recall a stammer in his speech
Former classmates said he wasn't very clever
And wondered whether I was not mistaken
His parents weren't sure either
Mom said he was mostly a slow learner
But the father thought teachers never understood his brain
His siblings could not remember him as clever
Only his wife said he was studious and workaholic
But the news still shook her
and when she showed me his study
I noticed a fat book lying on top of a table
With an interesting title for my report
"Man is never truly one but truly two"
