Take Me Poem by Bekah Tav.

Take Me

I feel as though my lungs are caving in.
I feel as though
This world’s beginning to win.
And even when I
Try to stand, stay strong,
My heart doesn’t understand
That I need to move on…
I try to raise my hands,
Pray to the one who knows
All my demands.
But I feel much too weak,
To sing to him,
To speak.
I wish I could live this life,
As though it is the most precious thing.
But I cannot give anymore,
I am empty,
I am meek.
So many mistakes I’ve made,
What good am I for anything?
Does it truly matter that I’m here,
Or if I’m up in the sky,
A peace to fill me everywhere.
I’m so tired of holding on,
I no longer have the will
To stay strong.
Can’t I just be taken away.
I’d be so much happier,
No more suffering.
I am so tired of
Suffering.
Please someone come sweep me away,
Save my soul from myself,
My shame.
I need to be set free,
Please Lord come and take me,
Oh just please
Take me…
