Talent Poem by Imaobong Akan

Talent

It’s like a thick bush at first sight,
Hides beneath, unnoticed without height.
But when the inside is searched,
Then it is discovered, imperfect and sketched.

Like the beginning of a foundation,
It needs more time, resources and skill
To be raised fully and worthy of recognition
To be brought out of illusion to the real.

Like an unfenced building,
Needs more knowledge skill and branding
That it stands the test of time,
So that it be not seen not worthy of prime.

Like an unpolished shoe
Needs more polishing, till it shines new,
Rebranded, packaged, that you may not rue
The creator’s reason for the golden dew.

Like the shining lamp of heaven,
It lights undeniably and by many proven
Giving vigour and contributions to the nation whole.
Such should be every ‘TRUE TALENT’S’ goal.

Talent like an unfenced building...always like a diamond in the rough... Another nice one Ima.
