Talking To You Talking To Me Poem by Nathan Streango

Talking To You Talking To Me

Rating: 2.0

Crimson skies sing lullabies losing sight of my disguise,
Burn the earth to stay alive, liars burn when liars lie,
Eating Gods own special dish, searing visions make a wish,
Tears of joy upon my lips, failed to see I failed to miss,

I’m face to face with me,
Without support I’m closed for work,
I’m thinking up the next excuse for daily dark abuse

I’m looking at my other self, full of faith in holy help,
Thinking back to how I felt when I defeated hell,
Shaking hands with circumstance, making my demands,
Maybe I will realize the wind will change my plans,

I’m face to face with you,
The little boy who never grew,
I’m thinking up the next excuse and ignore all the clues

Eat my fingers when the stress will build upon my head,
Inner demons outer acts of dying till their dead,
Lift my hands up to the sky I might start feeling blessed,
Sun will set and rise but yet my eyes will never rest,

I’m face to face with me,
Another light that I can’t see,
I’m thinking stop the drinking while I got nothing to lose

My stomach hurts me when I eat because of my disease,
Crying to the sky why while I’m on bended knees
Muscles twitch upon my head when I am deep in thought,
Spreading seeds on rocky roads forming rocky crops

I’m face to face with you,
Paying rent when rent is due,
I stop the earths rotation when I’m writing something new
