Hi, David: I like this poem better than 'Tempted.' Sorry, but 'Tempted left me rather cold, being an old lady. Yes, I was young - once. I like the sentiment in this poem. Feelings of rejection, loss, sadness. I especially like your ending line because it ties up the rest of the poem. I would leave out the word 'that' and it would make the line flow better. Won’t you ever see me - So we can love again keep writing, I see a budding talent! alicia

Sometime it's better just to say goodbye even if it hurts. Of course this is easier said than done. Excellent poem, Melvina
