Tangsir Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Tangsir

Tangsir

In a scene of "Tangsir"
(It is book, and a film)
Man observes ants' movement
That is like "Chekhov's gun"
Will come in future
Ants will be his mentors.

Same is said of Timur
He, a lame mid-age man
With failures in his bag
While hiding behind wall
There observed small ant
Carrying locust wing.

"I counted its failings…"
Mentioned the Tamerlane
"Finally the ant went
Taking food to their nest."

"I am not less than ant…"
Said Timur to himself
Succeeded, conquered
And became Tamerlane.
