Tanka Couple Poem by Jan Oskar Hansen

Tanka Couple

Tanka.

Does tailor Cohen
When sewing you a suit
Conspires to, enslave you?
Anti Semitics, think so
Do they buy suits off the rack?
Or find a Muslim outfitter?

Full face veil
Like the ghost of a schooner
Sails through our town
We fear and want her banned
A Muslim woman shopping.
