Tarry Poem by Vonda Overlie

Tarry

You hide in your pain, looking for someone to blame
all the while I sit trembling.
Wondering when
you will return
and be my friend again.

My heart it yearns
for carefree days when sunlight lit your face.
Beautiful and free you wanted to be
Known for truth and grace.

My dear sissy I love you still. I miss your sweet embrace.
My faith is strong in him I trust to bring us to a place.

Where we can run freely
through flower filled land
Without a burden to carry

He's carried us thus far, his word is true.
but now we must tarry.

Hang on sweet girl.... he promised us he would restore the years.
I'm waiting still, i'll never give up, it will be worth all these tears!
