"Taste Of The Color Blue" Poem by Jeremy May

"Taste Of The Color Blue"

I will never be the same anymore.
A hardness I can not break through
The beating of my heart thumping away evermore
Mocking me just like you

I can not hate the ones who hated me
What I want and what I will get
Why do you feel the need to be so far away, my sweet
Black rose, so tight against the wet

Neglected by your hands and tied to the needle
Alone I am crying, slowly dying.
Embraced by your damage, I am cold and feeble
My tears turn to rage, yet no use trying...

The milking breast, The beautiful tired mother
I offered you a taste of something better
I offered up my throat and read your sin-stained letter
And yet I lay before you dying

I attempt to get over
Forever sleep without you

All last night.....
.......Without you
Tossing and turning.

MY HEART BURNING! ! ! ! ........................
...Tonight, I gave in
Because I know there is no you

So here it is
And here it will stay
in my arms..
Till they take me away....
