Tatters And Tasks - 08/01/2010

He wore a veil of tatters and tasks.
She stood naked in front of his eyes.
Shackled upon a box locked tight,
Full of intent and love.
Through the threadbare he could
Only focus on the lock.
And so she stood alone and exposed
Hiding everything beneath her.
She could not step down
And the shroud remained over his eyes.
The box unopened with the dreadful lock
Had no key and the chains begged
And her skin bled, but no straining
Could will the veil to part.
So she remained held tight, waiting.
And all was forgotten in a box, locked
So tight that no one could see
And soon no one would remember
The treasure turning to trinkets
Locked tight inside.
