The Night I Give Poem by Stacey Knippenberg Ricci

The Night I Give

The night I give like water cupped in my hand
silver and smooth drenched in bits of moon

The night I know my voice calls
your name only against distant stars

The night I live an endless breath
held against my lovers lips

The night I beg return to me our communion
before the sun removes cover from the sky
