Teardrop Poem by Mark Wiedenhoefer

Teardrop

Rating: 3.5

A long way from heaven,
Stuck in a cloud alone,
With fears and failure,
Crashing down home.

Many tears been lost,
On the way to make a change,
With almost nothing to loose,
But everything to gain.

I see the light at the end,
The light of eternal resent,
A way of grace and scrutiny,
My light dies slowly, can you see?

I'm on the edge of madness,
With nothing to hold on to,
Falling, tearing away my heart,
And all the things I gained are falling apart.

A hope soon be lost again,
No wife,
No child,
No home till then.

I am the third in order,
The one that matters none at all,
The one that is not called father,
Or husband in this blazing fire storm.

A family I hoped to gain,
Is now eternity away,
The pain that is in my chest,
Will stay there, always burning me.

I am at the edge of eternity,
Falling like a teardropp from the sky,
Holding on to clouds and angels,
Loosing my hope, my love, my child!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Fighting a loosing battle for the love of my life wanting her in my life for years, knowing her since she was born. Lost her 2 times before she even knew I loved her and now, as a Stepfather that has no chance of being a full member of a family. Thrown down to the ground and stepped upon by the father of the child.
