Tears I deserve, this I know
Down my cheeks they run so slow
Burning tracks across my face
As ever my heart does even race
I cannot make it up to you
Another thing I know, I do
Perhaps you are better off without me
As much as I beg to be forgiven by thee
I know it is true without me your are best
But I beg you please to give me my bequest
I am torn up inside me don't you see
I know you are best off without me
Yet I cannot let you go so easily
I am in love that is not measily
I know you are not anymore
Even as together we swore
I broke that too, this I know
Yet how can I ever let you go?
I know I have to this is true
That single thought I do rue
And rue the day that I screwed up so
And gave you away to another beau
I will forever hate myself
As you tread on all by yourself
Your life is yours to do as you please
Yet never will my heart be at ease
