Tears Of A Little Brother (Part 3) Poem by Blessing Kalamatila

Tears Of A Little Brother (Part 3)

He left Her with nothing but a broken compass;
lost in Her thoughts
Left Her with resplendent memories that could fill up a room
I swear,
He Left Her too soon...

I remember Her smiling ear to ear,
Her face beaming with Joy.
One couldn't ignore Her Laugh on the phone;
as He tickled Her from a distance.
He made Her dreams an actuality but
when death whispers;
life is but a nightmare
and even ironlike hearts get blisters.

I remember that night;
when the stars made Him a place
in the heavenly skies.
I recall Her besides Him
when He breathed His last,
If only She could switch places
but whose One to take sides
when the die is cast?

I observe Her from a distance,
overwhelmed by grief
clad in disbelief
She wears Her bridal gown;
hoping to retrace Her way back to Him
but to no avail.
He was without a doubt Her groom
as I think back to their wedding plans.

See!
they were nothing but a dying match;
emotionally tied yet She is at a loss
perharps,
thats why no one could explain
His sudden death.

If only She could save Him
Maybe then,
I wouldn't recite the same poem.
You see this pen will sometimes take up the embodiment of a scalene;
writing pain from different angles
