Teenager, Single, Mother Poem by Amiee love Writter

Teenager, Single, Mother

Teenage single mother

Over whelmed with happiness and joy
A new life
Is it a girl or boy

The worry of money may seem funny to some
But when you have none
I will tell you that is no fun

You find your self scraping every penny
Every inch of you self worries

Your life as you knew is over
No holidays
No weekend
No friends

It's like a new world
One so far from the one you left behind
It consist of
Nappies
Sick
And sleepless night

Before like most we take little thing for granted
Like popping down the shops
Popping is no longer
Popping has now change to the word
MiSSION

Time is no longer mine to have
It is there's now to keep for ever

I gave my life up
To start what is now our life

Our life is not all roses and perfect
Our house is not gigantic

Our Life is not always going to be a fairy tale
But it is our tale to write and that's aright to me

Yes I was young to jump in to something so big
But I give it everything I can give

So don't sneer or glance just give us a chance

Amiee, you certainly have covered a lot of emotion and social mores with regard to the struggles of and attitudes towards being a single mum or single parent generally.
