Telephone Call Poem by Robert J Meyer

Telephone Call

When she calls
I stop -
And between the ring and the moment I answer
Her face appears in all it's moods and colors,
Each registering a memory.

That small infinity
Between inhalation and hello
Is too short,
Yet too long before I hear her voice.
