Telephone That Rings Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Telephone That Rings

Telephone that rings
Rings
Rings after mid-night

The night is bleak
And long
And tortuous

And the ghost of my mother
Hovers
Hovers above

And the telephone rings
And does not ring
And its midnight struck

And

The night is bleak
And long
And tortuous
