Tell Me Poem by Alejandro Torres

Tell Me

I wish there was a way
To know what is in your heart
Oh so much
I can’t feel
Not being you
But there’s a truth
To every word I let you have
A free mind to speak
Shackled words of thoughts
Unknown
Can you believe truth
When the lives we live
Are full of lies
Want to hear your voice once more
To settle a little peace
I keep in this turbulent soul I hold
Within
And there are times
When silent laughter
Turns into screaming tears
Out of frustration
For the silence we keep
So open
There’s no place
To store this secret
I keep alive for the both of us
But I wish your words
Would shower some truth
Instead of drown me further
In the muddle of human emotions
I can’t understand
Without simple phrases
From the mouth of my favorite sin
The guise of woman
You wear so well
But true form is my fallen Angel
With wings of the cosmos
That still speaks volumes
Of silence
