Ten Years Have Passed. Poem by Robin Strand

Ten Years Have Passed.

Would be grand if time paused
In time before my bad reaction. Then
I could be gentle and not against you.
In remorse I remind, jokingly I can't rewind-
But it's fine.

The tempo does not concern me. The message is simple.
It's filling, it's calm, it's freeing to be a good person.

A glowing sphere of gratitude surrounds me and I destroy it.
Joy is disrupted, a smile faints- a simple ten step walk can break a heart. It would be grand if time did not pause.
