Terpsichore's Mirror Skirt Poem by Lovita Morang

Terpsichore's Mirror Skirt

Terpsichore's mirror skirt

God's of light reflect in her mirror skirt,
as she forage the forbidden path in the ocean of desert, finding music in maestro's art.

Thirst of makers ofmirror disappeared in illusion water,
Mirage of my life's search illuminates the god.awful of the dream-weaver.

The dunes curving out the sand- stone home for her like the fur white in winter,
Leaves of desert rose danced in the wind and slither.

Flinch from harsh halt,
She followed and flounder the peacock's courtship dance in exalt.

In the land of kings she makes the puppets to show,
her desires drenched in the strings she pulls,
Love-play of the Kathputli's dance, smiles of scarecrow.

Rigid rains of thoughts dry the land,
30,000 years of fruit seeds stored by ancient squirrels flowers, in sudden lightning;
But flowers in time is the bliss, served to the empty hand.

Yet the terpsichore's shine like the gold dust
Difficult to find in the sand, and in her skirting reflection of mirror skirt brust.
