Tethered Poem by Federico del Corazón

Tethered

Rating: 4.0

Heart in pain, struggling and tumbling.
Exploding, I crumble to my knees
A wrench in my soul,
I’m tethered to this life
With all of its beauty
With everything that is crazy
It’s everything in-between
So many smiles passing by
All of them trying to catch my eye
I am tethered to this life
And it is mine
I want and receive what I need
I need more and wait for what I want
What I don’t have, I give for two
Action is so hard to do,
when it is so easy to complain
I am tethered to this life
When all I want to do
Is be entwined in you
