Daughter Poem by Federico del Corazón

Daughter

Rating: 4.7

Ten lil fingers
Ten lil toes
One bright smile
And a cute lil nose
The sweetest voice
I have ever heard
The sounds of Angels
And tweeting lil birds
You start my day
You bring me rest at night
You are my daughter
You are my life
As hard as I try
To teach you what is right
You have taught me more
About this life
You are my daughter
I always love you
Wrong or Right
Don’t worry
Don’t stress
Life always has its test
You are never alone
I will help you find the answers
To questions unknown
That is my job you see
To keep you safe with me
Everything you become
Is from everything WE have done
You are my daughter
I Love You unconditionally
Just the way you are

My tastes tend to lean towards something a little more strange. This a lovely poem to your daughter, and I'm sure she'll love it. What I would like to read from you is something darker. What is the oddest/scariest moment in your life? Have you ever felt like hell/death was at your doorstep? Shock me! Make me do a double take. Or make me smile with something funny/outragous. These are my comments. PS also, watch the grammer. Very important to get ideas across: you can't be seen as someone who can't spell. Use spell check or a dictionary. I am a terrible speller. I write using Word, then spell check everything. The poems I've read are really sweet, and mostly directed towards a lover or loved one. This is great, but do something a little more 'edgy.' DOG!

This is the kind of poem every daughter wants her father to write her. In times of trouble, or being in that difficult stage of being a teenager, this would be the kind of words one would want to read. Thanks for sharing!
