Thank You - Poem by Janice Walkden
Thank you for the sunshine
Thank you for the rain
Thank you for the laughter
Thank you for the pain
Thank you for the smiles
Thank you for the tears
Thank you for the sweetness
Of all life’s hopes and fears
For without the days of winter
There would be no Summer sun
We need to have both you see
Its how life here is ‘run’
All aspects of life we’ll face
making mistakes along the way
Though that is really no disgrace
We’ll learn something new each day
That is what we are here to do
So don’t complain ‘life’s tough’
There will be others suffering worse than you
When you think you have had enough
Life is a myriad of joys and woes
we need both the sunshine and the rain
So when things are not going as you planned
Try to focus rather than complain
Life is a myriad of joys and woes
With all we need to grow
Both the sunshine and the rains of life
To make our own rainbow.
