You freely gave the love
that I so desperately needed
it was all I ever wanted
couldn't ask for more
still; it wasn't enough
when your eyes lost sparkle
laughter faded
your reassuring glances
my limited chances
conspired with you to deceive
now I see;
people change
I'm willing to believe your regret
and accept that you've misled
but I cant forget
