The Hurt Poem by Nae Tyler

The Hurt

To the memories of one
who despite best efforts will always be scarred
to the tragic 'ever after'
of one eternally marred

to the broken spirit who believes
that woulds can never heal
to the wanderer who will half-heartedly
search for something real

to the lost souls who will always
ache to fall no more
to all the liars who worked so hard to hide themselves
but cant now see what it was for

to the longing orphan who cries alone
wanting a place to belong
to the reminiscer who's to scared to live
for fear of moving on

to the pain consumed survivor, swallowed in grief
by loss of all held dear
to the failure who's succeeded after so long
and there wasn't one cheer

to the broken families torn apart
too late to receive what was wanted
to the girl with stolen innocence
who will always be haunted

to the broken friendships built on hurt
with a life time to regret
to person who believes 'I'm a waste'
with mistakes they wont forget

to the frustrated rejected, bleeding, believing,
they would be better off dead
to the too trusting heart
who's living on lies that've been said

to all the ex-friends torn apart
by reason people lack
to all the tears of people afraid to trust
for fear of again being stabbed in the back

to the destitute king who has everything
but all to lose and forever fall
and to the broken hearted who want nothing more
than to never feel at all

his heart goes out to you
forgiveness and hope too
don't throw it all away
though it seems so out of reach
you can heal, if not now, someday...

Well done Renee. Great perspective of a thing that people do not talk about except in small offices on couches and in the dark corners of tortured souls.
