Thank You Note

If you said a prayer
Or even tossed a thought of blessing
Out our way while we were gone
To Russia to retrieve the child we had
So quickly grown to love, thank you.
This modern world that thinks it knows so much
In truth knows very little
And even peasant movements
Carry subtleties almost incapable of understanding.
So... - thank you.
