I give God thanks for today
For he helped me conquer yesterday
As I sat and devour a yesterday this morning
Reflecting on a dream I had, it was storming
Wandering what that meant, anyway
I had nada for recess
Just my cranium full of thoughts and stress
But, I'm still bless.
So night draws nigh
My body starts to cry
Esophagus run dry
But I'm still alive 'inside, inside'
That give me the hope to see tomorrow's sunrise
And what lies
