Something doesn’t seem right
This should be the other way around
I should be the one grabbing your hand
And pulling you up off of the ground

I’ve been strong all of my life
There wasn’t anything that I couldn’t get through
I never needed anyone before
But I couldn’t have made it that night without you

Everything changed that night
The world seemed to be crashing down
Burying me deeper and deeper in pain
I looked but there was no helping hand to be found

It felt like the ground had disappeared
And I was falling and falling in the black
I crumbled letting everything out
As I sat there constantly being attacked

Somehow you heard my cries for help
Calling me, just hearing your voice was enough
You talked me through the night
Didn’t hang up til you knew everything was alright

You showed you cared, you were there for me
The way I try to be there for you
Without you there that night, and the ones to come
I don’t know what I would do

So thanks, for everything
Without you in my life
Nothing would ever be the same
