That Day Poem by Marlene Rashidi

That Day

Rating: 3.0

Nights were turned into days,
Hatred that day existed.

Fear began to intermittent,
Humans began to wonder.

Trusts were turned into betrayal,
Explanations weren't needed.

Voices began to ring through people's minds,
The truth was revealed.

Eyes that were blinded were opened,
Heart were shaken and troubled.

Questions were asked,
Answers weren't given.

Youths learned through it,
Debate started.

'Are we safe' children asked parents,
Mouths were filled with unreasonable answers.

Tears weren't needed,
Braveness was.
