That Day Poem by Ronald Chapman

That Day

I walked out my front door today,
Never expecting such a sweet surprise.
I believed I saw the most beautiful eyes.
In less than a second.
Love beckoned me to ask the name,
That belonged to those beautiful eyes.
Before I could ask your name.
You said, "Hello. My name is Sarah."

I walked out my front door today,
Never expecting such a lovely surprise.
Sarah had a full size baby stroller.
Much to my surprise.
Sarah said to me,
"Luck you have had in love
With me."

Lovers, We will always be.

I am so happy, as happy as a monkey.
I walked out my front door.
That day.
