That Girl - Poem by Ebony Banks
You want her because she's pretty.
You like her because she's sweet.
You love her for all she gives to you,
But have you really stopped and thought?
Oh one day those looks will fade away,
And soon to you, her kindness will fade.
And eventually she'll run out of things to give.
When faced with these thoughts what picture do you paint?
One of you running away and finding another
One of you staying and facing the bitterness praying for a better tomorrow
One of you crying endlessly reminiscing about how thinks were yesterday
Could you still love this girl, who is no longer the girl you loved?
