Babygurl Poem by Ebony Banks

Babygurl

Rating: 5.0

Babygurl what do you do when you've realized what you got aint enough?
When you've satisfied your body for so long that you forgot to concentrate on your mind.

Babygurl what do you do when you finally figure out that your materialistic lifestyle just aint enough?
When those fast cars, beach view condos, shopping sprees, and diamond rings no longer put a smile on your face.

Babygurl what do you do when you see that these men only want you for your body and the magical things it does?
When you finally want someone who will love you for what your mind has to offer.

Babygurl what do you do when you realize you've been living the life you swore you'd never fall victim to?
When every statistic you read has a picture of your face behind it.

Babygurl what do you do?

I like the main theme which I feel is 'vanity', and how you portray it as the illusion that it actually is. Lots of young people need to read this 'Babygurl advice'...a nice piece!
