That Night Poem by Katie Champeau

That Night

Rating: 5.0

I had a dream last night,
and you were there.
The look in your eyes,
the warm of the air.
The feel of your touch,
the taste of your kiss.
For that one moment,
I was lost in bliss.
The day drew to a close,
and I felt so alive.
I still can’t forget,
the look in your eyes.
You turned around,
and began to walk away.
The scent of you lingers,
I wish you would stay.
I close my eyes,
hoping your would return.
I open my eyes,
neglect is what I feel.
Awake in my bed,
alone I will feel,
until my dreams come back.
And you I can feel.

This is really a nice work. I like it for its vivid imagery and skilful description. Lots of love. A fine 10. If you don't mind, pleas read and rate my poem 'A busy street on page 1.
