That One Person Poem by lexi bowsman

That One Person

Think back
To that person

Or to those people
Who you never really loved

Never had a grain
A smidge of feeling for

Yet you kissed them
Hugged them

Showed them love
Yet there is no heart behind it

Never was
Never will be

How do you get out of it
You cant your stuck

They were the only ones who cared
Takeing advantage of the vulnerbility

Makeing you feel great
Not realizing what was happening

You step in to there arms
And feel the warmth

Feel the love never wanting to leave
But you never had that love in your heart

The love wanted by all
The love needed by all

So you flurt and twist your way around it
Trying to justify it

But it will never be true
You just cant leave it

The only one who listens
The only one who says 'beautiful'

The only one who wants you
But they are not your true love

Awesome poem Lexi! ! You weaved your words so truthfully, sensitively, about someone you don't truly love. There's a sadness that comes across for that person, you expressed it so delicately, so honestly. Totally love this poem. Thank you so much for sharing it. Thank you also for the beautiful comments you gave on my poem, Inner Senses. Glad that my poetry can make your day a little better. It makes every poem worth it knowing that. Appreciate your telling me. Thank you, RoseAnn
