That Pain. Poem by Kevin East

That Pain.

Rating: 4.0

Roadkill.
A bleeding deer
Soon forgotten.
Now the road is clear.
Blood
Washed away by rain.
But I
Will always remember
That pain.

I died
In my sleep.
A few souls did weep.
No longer
Than my ashes would flame.
Now the coast is clear
And she's shed her tear.
She is
Free to love again.
Damn her
To always remember
That pain.
