love is concealed upon the heart
that is buried in the muscle of my chest
fenced by bones, bound by veins
around a pool of blood

i give thanks to the Lord
for i love you and you know not
for i have sinned and they know not
for i am the only one that feels it
and hears its beat
in utter silence
