That Winter Snow Poem by Mary Neil Poisson

That Winter Snow

Your vacant stare when I was there
The leaves were falling everywhere
Then here comes that winter snow
Everything passes by as we know

We got cold and trees grew old
And our story never gets told
All were lost in that winter snow
In the frosty air, the wind did blow

Everything was quiet and calm
Hands got wet and frozen palm
And all we got from that winter snow
Were icy rivers that never flow

That frosty air that chills my bones
You left me here standing alone
Frozen in that winter snow
But neither care nor pity did show

Someday my sorrows will end
Tears will not be there my friend
Cause the sun shines its mystic glow
Trying to melt that winter snow

Time can heal all the sorrows
It can open up new tomorrows
Then happiness and love will grow
And that winter snow, soon will go.
