There's Nothing I Wanted More Poem by Mary Neil Poisson

There's Nothing I Wanted More

Rating: 5.0

There's nothing I wanted more than to stare at your face,
And that warm feeling as I feel your embrace.
I want to wake up next to you with a smile,
And live with those moments even just for a while.

There's nothing I wanted more than to kiss your frown,
Cheer you up when you're feeling down.
Be there for you when you needed me,
I promise I'll be everything you wanted me to be.

There's nothing I wanted more than the future with you,
Mornings and coffees and kisses too.
And we can dance in the room when we're all alone
As I wake up each day with your t-shirt on.

There's nothing I wanted more than to tease you each day,
And forever beside you in bed, I'll lay.
Keeping you warm in those cold winter nights
As we make love by those candle lights.

There's nothing I wanted more than to hold you tight,
In every moment of every day and night.
Two a.m. and I'm lying on your chest
Thinking that I already found the best.

There's nothing I wanted more than to hold your hand,
And do all the things that we had planned.
Cause there's nothing more that I wanted to do,
Than to do all those things with you.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem inspired me of someone, who is like thousands of miles away from me and we have these things that we had planned together. I guess these are the things that I wanted in the future.
