The 8-Bit Poem by A.A. Oniwodigo

The 8-Bit

I think about how love is a drug
I think about my youth and my place in the world
I think about how much I don't care and how much I do
I think about music and the universe
I think about gender and race and sexuality and God
I think about people and all their bits
I think about the trees and the sea and birds
I think I'm just tired.

What I think,
when I have nothing else to do,
is all that I am.
