The Age Amendment Bill Poem by Bamukunda Hillary

The Age Amendment Bill

.
For years you have learnt but to no avail of knowledge
Do you seek to amend or scrap off?
Will one months babies also come for the small office?
Or will all the grand fathers pick nomination forms?
How were these MPS created?
With sand or gold?
.
We won't be violent
We live in the same Uganda
Our future will be the same
We shall die the uniform way
And when that time you fear reaches
You will be the witness of the floods
.
Why can't you be selfish and greedy?
Like cant you yourselves handle?
Oust the grandfather and create the boy-girl generation
Are you scared to be good people?
Does Cain's blood run in your veins?
We are the magye we are citizens this is our country
We shall support you we shall make you sensible…
