The Agnostic Traveler Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

The Agnostic Traveler

He walks a road without a sign,
No map to hold, no light to see.
He leaves the faith he used to know,
But finds no rest where he might be.

He looks to those who firmly pray,
And those who know the void is deep.
He lacks the fire of their belief,
And lacks the peace that doubters keep.

He stands between the sun and shade,
A traveler in a land of mist.
He cannot grasp a single truth,
Or name the things that don't exist.

A heavy haze surrounds his mind,
He wanders lost within the gray.
Without a path, without a wall,
He has no home to go to stay.
