The Alamo Poem by Kellee Richards

The Alamo

Texas is at war
Santa Anna is killing all
Brothers, Fathers, Sons, Friends, ALL
Leaving only fleeing widows and fatherless children
Burning once peaceful villages
4,000 soldiers killing everything in their path
Like a boulder
The cowardly flee
The brave stand against it
All fail, until
The boulder hits a flat spot, a weak spot
The brave pouce and conquer
Texas is ours
